Fisher Family Farms

We grow a wide variety of vegetables as well as raising some pigs and keeping a flock of laying hens. We have a good size strawberry patch that should be producing by the middle of May. We are planning a big patch of sweet corn for our main crop later this summer.

We use organic and regenerative growing methods as much as possible. Our early garden beds are all hugelkultur raised beds that enable us to get started super early. We are using a lot of wood chip mulch and hauling composted horse manure from the big stables down the road. Another big source of nutrition for our soil is the flock of chickens that turn neglected weed fields into lush pasture that can be rotated into prime sweet corn land.
