We are truly grateful for the support of our SNAP matching sponsors. SNAP helps food insecure families gain access to fresh, local food. Customers use their EBT cards at our market to purchase tokens that we treat like cash, so they may buy farm products from our market vendors. Thanks to generous donors, we are grateful to be able to offer matching of these market tokens for up to $27/week. Customers can draw up to $27 in SNAP benefits, and receive up to $54 in tokens to buy farm fresh, healthy, locally grown food at the farmers’ market.
We would like to thank the City of Bloomington Common Council Jack Hopkins Social Services Committee for funding SNAP doubling for the Woolery Farmers' Market this season. With their help we were able to increase the availability of nutritious, local food options to those experiencing food insecurity within our community.
